PARKING BAN DURING SNOW EMERGENCY- ALTERNATIVE PARKING

A winter storm and snow emergency has been declared by the Town of iron River Board of Supervisors effective this day March 16th, 2023 for a period of to 72 hours or until rescinded prior to that time.

Under this declaration and in order to ensure the safe operation of vehicles on
our streets the town will enforce a PARKING BAN on all streets between the hours of 3:00 am and 7:00 am in order for plowing operations to be completed. In accordance with town ordinance(s) and the Emergency declaration any vehicles on the street(s) during this period of plowing operations will be subject to towing at the owners expense.
For residents on So. Main St., So. George St. or So. Bohn St. you may temporarily (limited time during the hours of No Parking) use the back parking lot of Our Savior Lutheran Church or the St. Michael Church upper lot. Please respect the property you are parking on and remove your vehicle as soon as the streets are plowed.
We ask all residents to abide by this ordinance, move your vehicle off the street and help our town highway department clear the streets of the expected heavy snowfall. Once your street is plowed during those hours you may resume parking on the street.
This ordinance shall remain in effect through Saturday morning during the Snow Emergency.
