REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING

These minutes represent the general subject matter discussed in this meeting but do not reflect a verbatim documentation of the subjects and conversation that took place.
1. Chairman David Ciembronowicz called the Regular Town Board Meeting to order at 6 P.M. Present were Supervisor Rich Nemitz, Cassie Fleming, John Rautio, John Sleeman, and Clerk Treasurer Helen G Hyde , she also testified the meeting was properly posted.
2. A motion by Rich Nemitz, seconded by John Rautio to approve the Agenda. Motion Carried.
3. A motion by John Sleeman, seconded Cassie Fleming to approve the Minutes of the Regular Town Meeting December 12, 2024, Motion Carried.
4. A motion by Rich Nemitz, seconded by John Sleeman to approve the Financial Report. Motion Carried.
5. Heads of Departments present. Jackie Pooler- Library, Fire- John Darwin, Andy Jatzo- Highway, Adam Olson-Ambulance , Police- Ryan Schneeburger
6. Ad Hoc Committee for Housing- no report, Parks & Recreation-No report
7. Citizens Comments – Randy Morgan, Karlen Williams, Dave Mills
8. A motion by John Rautio, seconded by Rich Nemitz to approve the event fishnchicks for the fishing event at Moon Lake Park and fundraiser for Saturday January 18, 2025. Motion carried.
9. A motion by John Sleeman, seconded by Cassie Fleming to approve the request from the Iron Area Foundation for the inaugural Winter Fest Event planned for Saturday February 1, 2025 at the Community Center and ice rink. Motion carried.
10. Update: County Zoning for Iron River area is Emily Macgillivray effective January 4, 2025
11. Update: County Zoning representatives will be at the Iron River Community Center on January 27, 2025 to discuss the zoning re-write taking place this year. All are invited.
12. A motion by Rich Nemitz, seconded by John Sleeman to adjourn at 6:50 P.M. Motion carried.
