- Chairman Richard Forsythe called the Regular Town Board Meeting to order at 6 P.M. Present were Supervisor Rich Nemitz, Cassie Fleming, John Rautio, Steve Probst, and Clerk Treasurer Helen G Hyde, she also testified the meeting was properly posted.
- Roll call of Town Board. Richard Forsythe- Chairman, Steve Probst- Supervisor, Rich Nemitz- Supervisor, Cassie Fleming- Supervisor – John Rautio- Supervisor, all present
- A motion by John Rautio, seconded by Rich Nemitz to approve the agenda. Motion Carried.
- A motion by Rich Nemitz, seconded by Steve Probst to approve the Minutes of the Regular Town Meeting January 08, 2025, Motion Carried.
- A motion by Steve Probst, seconded by Cassie Fleming to approve the Financial Report. Motion Carried.
- Heads of Departments present John Darwin-Fire, Adam Stegmann- Ambulance, Jacqueline Pooler- Library, Andy Jatzo-Highway, John Sleeman-Recycling Center
- No Citizens Comments
- Josh Rowley updated about zoning rewrite. Chairman has a list of questions for the Ad Hoc Committee; the Town Board approved Josh to move forward with the questions.
- Update on New Kubota tractor. It will be ready to bring here with all the attachments by next week. The Highway Department will go and pick it up when ready.
- A motion by John Rautio, seconded by Rich Nemitz to accept the appointments of election officers for the Ambulance Department. New Director- Adam Stegmann, Assistant Director – Adam Olson, Tessa Schutte, Mike Sims- Training Officer. The Town Board would like to Thank Adam Olson for all his dedication and help with his time as Director.
- Update on Long Lake Boat Landing and parking issues. Island BLVD on Long Lake has a boat landing that belongs to Bayfield County. There are no parking signs up where they cannot park but people Still Park there. Our Town would like Bayfield County Police Officers to Police that area, but they will not. Chairman is waiting on County Administrator to respond to questions and concerns
- Update on Anthony Mitchell Building demo. A motion by Cassie Fleming, seconded by Rich Nemitz to approve John Carlson help to construct a letter to Mr. Mitchell stating the building must come down by June 30, 2026. Motion carried.
- A motion by Cassie Fleming, seconded by John Rautio to follow Steve Probst suggestions on Moon Lake Park for the summer of 2026 camping season. Seasonal Rates -$1,600.00, Overnight with Electric-$25.00, Tent without electric-$20.00. Moderation of rules will be brought forward at next meeting. Motion Carried.
- A motion by Steve Probst, seconded by Rich Nemitz to adjourn at 7:20 P.M. Motion carried
