Iron River Flowage Notice

The Iron River Flowage will have its water level lowered over the next few weeks to allow repair work to be completed on the Iron River dam, on the flowage north end.

Starting the week of July 21^st, 2025 until August 11^th, the water level will be lowered by a total of 3 feet.  The dam repair work is scheduled to start either August 11^th or 18^th.  This work will take 7-10 days to complete.

When the dam repair work is completed, the Town of Iron River will start to raise the water level again.  This rise of the water level will need to be slow and steady, just like the lowering.  So that will take approximately 3 weeks.
