3. Roll Call/Quorum of Supervisors
4. Approve the Agenda
5. Approve the Minutes, November 22, 2024 Special Town Board meeting and March 13 2025 Regular Town Board Meeting
6. Review and Approve the Financial Report
7. Heads of Department (Fire, EMS, Police, Library, Highway/Streets/Parks)
8. Citizens Comments (Time limited to 2 minutes per person, 15 minutes in total for all citizens’)
9. Town Chairperson Comments: Transition to new town board; update on housing opportunity by private companies for Iron River, Dam Repair, IR Community Center and on-going board matters for future meetings.
10. Discuss/Act: Review quote for F250 used truck for possible purchase for Highway Dept. and method of payment if approved for purchase.
11. Discuss/Act: Consideration of selling the damaged town highway dept. F350 online auction on Wisconsin Used Equipment website together with straight plow from F250 to be purchased and minimum bid request.
12. Discuss/Act: Town Roadwork RFP review, opening and consideration of sealed bids for road repair using chip seal or other method of repair on the following roads:
– Hart Lake Rd. from Cty. H North to Fire # 65225
– Ruth Lake Rd. (0.70 miles)
– Two (2) spots on Ruth Lake Rd. as identified by highway Dept.
13. Discuss/Act: Re-consideration of March 2025 town board approval to form an Ad Hoc Committee on Comprehensive planning and zoning.
14. Discuss/Act: Creation of Recycle Center Department Head position and appointment of John Sleeman as Dept. Head.
15. Update: NorthShore Dr plated road vacate status.
16. Update: Bayfield County Zoning code re-write project stakeholder group appointments from Iron River: Josh Rowley and Thomas Westlund
17. Discuss/Act: Request from WISDOT to remove unpermitted items located on DOT Right of Way land at the corner of US Hwy. 2 and Cty. Hwy A. in Iron River. Notice to remove by person/persons who placed these items there without permit.
18. Discuss/Act: Trusty Trucking request for variance to new building (15,000 sq.ft) related to not having sprinkler system installed, from WI. Dept of Safety and Professional Svcs.. Conditional Approval given by Dept, Fire Dept. recommended approval. If no request for hearing by May 2, variance will be granted.
19. Update: Status of John and Mary Lou Giesregen deeding back to Town of Iron River property Tax ID 34396 (35 sq.ft).
20. Update: Room Tax disbursement from Town for Tourism, Chamber of Commerce funding
21. Update: Status of County Building Inspector communication with Anthony Mitchell regarding the unsafe building he owns on Main St.
22. Update: Status of community vending machine approved by Town board and recommended placement in front of community center East door.
23. Reminder: Annual Town Elector meeting April 15, 2025 IR Community Center 6:00pm
24. The Town Board may entertain a motion to move in and out of closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat #19.85 (1) (c) Considering employment, promotion, and compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Reconvening Sec. 19.85 (2)
