Help Wanted Youth Center & Recycle Center 1-3-2023

Youth Center during school year – part time, 3:45 pm to 6:15 pm.  3 to 4 days per week.  $14.00 per hour. Children range in age from about 6 to 14 and are from the local community. Indoor and outdoor supervision required. Center is equipped with indoor and outdoor materials, computers, games and snacks.

Requirements:

  • 21 years of age or older and have at least a high school diploma
  • Successful completion of WI Statute 50.065 Criminal history and patient abuse record search (Background Check)
  • Must be willing and able to mentor, provide a positive role model and supervise multiple children between the ages of 6 and 14
  • Must be available to work Mon-Fri on days when public schools are in session (3 or 4 days/week)
  • Must be able to stand for periods of time and walk without assistance
  • CPR certification preferred or town will provide training and certification

Transfer/Recycle Center Attendant

2 Part-Time positions for attendants at the Transfer/Recycle Center. $14.00 per hour

  • October – May approximately 8 hours/week – Saturdays only
  • June – October approximately 12 hours/week – Tuesday and Saturday
  • Work is physical and requires lifting up to 70 pounds
  • Work is primarily outdoors with exposure to all variables of weather
  • Positions are within the Highway Department and attendants may be scheduled routinely and/or occasionally to other duties in that Department
  • Positive interaction with the public in a manner consistent with exceptional service and support is required
  • Assist with placing refuse bas in compactor and operation of compactor
  • Monitoring of compactor function and/or issues
  • Identifying the difference between refuse, debris and recyclables.  Notifying the customer of costs associated with each according to established pricing
  • Work is performed under the supervision of the Transfer/Recycle Center Lead and performed following established procedures, routines and all safety requirements
  • Background check may be required
