8. Discuss/Act: Request by Iron River Sanitary District for new ordinance creating a Wellhead
Protection (WHP) by establishing land use restrictions within the town of Iron River to
protect the Town’s groundwater aquifer and municipal water supply.
9. Discuss/Act: Short Term Rentals (STR) in Iron River must be permitted by the County
(health dept) and registered with the Town of Iron River. Room tax must be charged on all
STR’s. Consider update to ordinance for non-compliance of obtaining a permit and/or
registration with the town of Iron River.
10. Discuss/Act: Increase of room tax, applicable to motel(s) and Short-Term Rentals (STR),
from the current 3% to 5%
11. Discuss/Act: Lions Club request for town ordinance not allowing dogs in Moon Lake Park
on Blueberry Fest weekend, last weekend of July.
12. Discuss/Act: Update from Supervisor Gilmer on sale of cardboard compactor.
13. Discuss/Act: US 2 DOT response on Town of Iron River request for traffic control signs
and/or device to slow down traffic.
14. Discuss/Act: Update on road conditions and limiting traffic on gravel/sand/dirt roads in the
township including ATV/UTV traffic.
15. Update: EMS funding to increase capability to respond to calls. RE: April Electors
meeting
16. Discuss/Act: ARPA Funds remaining; Town board must identify use for remaining funds by
end of 2024 and use funds by end of 2026.
17. Update: County Board discussion/action on opening county highways to ATV/UTV traffic.
18. Update: Shamrock promotion of local businesses by Chamber of Commerce.

19. Discuss/Act on request from Tom Trautt ,commander at VFW to talk about the land owned
by the VFW and Town Of Iron River
20. Discuss/Act on request from Brad Heaberlin to open County Hwy.A from Hoffren Rd. to US
2 Iron River to ATV/UTV traffic. Town Board recommendation to County Highway
Commissioner.
