NOTICE
Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Dept. is beginning its Zoning Rewrite Project and seeking citizens and interested parties of the township to volunteer as representatives in a stakeholder group. The purpose of the group will be to work with county consultants, staff and county zoning committee to rewrite the existing zoning code in 2025-26.
Responsibility of the Stakeholder group includes:
– Attending and participating in four (4) group meetings in April, June, August and October
– Contribute to group discussion with ideas and feedback to address issues identified
– Act as liaisons to others in the groups
– Provide insight into geographic and economic differences in various parts of the County
– Offer input into zoning rewrite without needing to reach consensus or draft formal recommendations.
Project consultants are seeking individuals with expertise or advanced knowledge in:
– Realtor/Developer – Builder/Contractor/Plumber – Housing
– Tourism/Recreation – Commercial Business Owner – Design/Architect
– Engineer/Surveyor – Natural Resource/Environmental Specialist
In addition, the Stakeholder group will include individuals/representatives from local municipalities to represent the interest of the Towns clustered in similar geographic areas.
