REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING

THURSDAY, MAY 08 2025

These minutes represent the general subject matter discussed in this meeting but do not reflect a verbatim documentation of the subjects and conversation that took place.

  1. Chairman Richard Forsythe called the Regular Town Board Meeting to order at 6 P.M. Present were Supervisor Rich Nemitz, Cassie Fleming, John Rautio, Steve Probst, and Clerk Treasurer Helen G Hyde , she also testified the meeting was properly posted.
  2. Roll call of Town Board. Richard Forsythe- Chairman, Steve Probst- Supervisor, Rich Nemitz- Supervisor, Cassie Fleming- Supervisor – John Rautio- Supervisor
  3. A motion by Steve Probst, seconded by John Rautio to approve the Agenda. Motion Carried.
  4. A motion by Steve Probst, seconded Cassie Fleming to approve the Minutes of the Regular Town Meeting April 10, 2025, and the Special Town Board meeting April 29, 2025 Motion Carried.
  5. A motion by Steve Probst, seconded by John Rautio to approve the Financial Report. Motion Carried.
  6. Heads of Departments present. Fire- John Darwin, Andy Jatzo- Highway, Adam Olson-Ambulance
  7. Citizens Comments – Terri Hollensworth
  8. Discussion on Bert Street. Don Hyde was approaching the Town Board about Burt Street. He since found out that Bert Street was already abandoned and showed papers backing the statement. There was no more discussion about Bert Street
  9. A motion by Steve Probst, seconded by Rich Nemitz to move all donation monies from the 2024 Budget to the 2025 budget. Motion carried.
  10. A motion by Cassie Fleming, seconded by John Rautio to approve a temporary Class B retailers license for the Bayfield County Fair held on August 7,8,9,10 2025. Motion carried.
  11. A motion by John Rautio, seconded by Rich Nemitz to approve a Special Event Permit from Trails North ATV Club on May 24, 2025, to close west Railroad Street from Main Street west to Alley, 9AM -3 PM. Motion carried.
  12. A motion by Steve Probst, seconded by John Rautio to approve a temporary Liquior License for the Lions Club for the Blueberry Festival July 25, 26, 2025, also a Special Event Permit for the Lions Blueberry Festival Parade on July 27, 2025. The same route will be taken as last year. Motion Carried.
  13. A motion by Cassie Fleming, seconded by Steve Probst to enter into Closed Session Wis. Stat #19.85 (1) (c) Motion carried. A motion by Steve Probst, seconded by Rich Nemitz to reconvene Sec. 19.85 (2) Motion carried.
  14. A motion by Rich Nemitz, seconded by John Rautio to adjorn at 7:45 P.M. Motion carried
